Predicting neurodevelopmental outcomes in Australian First Nations infants: The transdiagnostic utility of early screening tools

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 381-393, March 2026.
A culturally adapted developmental screening program (LEAP‐CP) improved First Nations families' engagement with neonatal follow‐up by almost 40%. The Motor Optimality Score‐Revised (MOS‐R), Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE), and the Australian First Nations adaptation of the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ‐TRAK), distinguished ...

Precision nutrition in weight loss and neuroendocrine control of people with obesity: The study protocol of a factorial randomised controlled trial (GenON Programme)

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 1661-1672, March 2026.
Abstract Aims Precision nutrition, guided by genetic testing, has emerged as a promising approach for managing obesity. However, robust clinical trials testing its effectiveness in real‐world dietary interventions remain scarce. The GenOn Programme aims to evaluate whether tailoring nutritional care based on genetic risk for obesity enhances weight ...

Generalization for both diurnal and nocturnal pollination in the mass‐flowering desert geophyte Nerine laticoma (Amaryllidaceae)

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 468-478, March 2026.
Both diurnal and nocturnal pollinators are important in the desert plant Nerine laticoma. Abstract The evolutionary limits to generalization in plant pollination systems are often determined by trade‐offs in which adaptations to one set of flower visitors reduces the effectiveness of another set of visitors.

Targeted Inhibition of CD74+ Macrophages by Luteolin via CEBPB/P65 Signaling Ameliorates Osteoarthritis Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
This study identifies CD74⁺ macrophages as key drivers of synovial inflammation in osteoarthritis (OA). The flavonoid luteolin is predicted to inhibit this pathway by blocking Nuclear Factor Kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of Activated B cells (NF‐κB) signaling. To enhance delivery, a targeted nanoplatform (MDSPL) is developed.
