Reuse of UHT Milk Close to Expiring and Almond Okara in the Production of Fresh Cheese

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Reuse of UHT milk close to expiring and almond okara in the production of fresh cheese. ABSTRACT This study evaluated the possibility of recycling ultra‐high temperature (UHT) milk close to the expiry date in the production of fresh cheese fortified with almond okara, a by‐product of almond‐based beverage production.

Co-nonsolvency of PNiPAM at the transition between solvation mechanisms [PDF]

open access: yesSoft Matter, 2014, 10, 8288, 2014
We investigate the co-nonsolvency of poly-N-isopropyl acrylamide (PNiPAM) in different water-alcohol mixtures and show that this phenomenon is due to two distinct solvation contributions governing the phase behavior of PNiPAM in the water-rich and alcohol-rich regime respectively.

Nonparametric Sequential Change-point Detection on High Order Compositional Time Series Models with Exogenous Variables [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Sequential change-point detection for time series is widely used in data monitoring in practice. In this work, we focus on sequential change-point detection on high-order compositional time series models. Under the regularity conditions, we prove that a process following the generalized Beta AR(p) model with exogenous variables is stationary and ...
