Using programmable infusion pump in avian species – a validation methodology in geese

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Wildlife face anthropogenic and natural stressors that affect their physiology and behaviour. The activity of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis and glucocorticoid (GC) production is intrinsically linked with energy regulation and environmental stressors.

Influence de l’alimentation et des performances sur les rejets azotés des porcs

open access: yesINRAE Productions Animales, 1994
Dans les zones de production porcine intensive, l’élimination des déjections devient un problème crucial, en raison principalement des risques de pollution des eaux par les nitrates et des émanations d’ammoniac.

Global determinants of home range sizes in felids: Evidence of human disturbance impact

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 95, Issue 4, Page 697-711, April 2026.
This study is the first to demonstrate the influence of anthropogenic factors and species richness in felids on home range size across the entire felid taxon. Felids are a taxon of major interest in conservation biology, and gaining a comprehensive view of their spatial ecology will help derive global conservation recommendations.

Contaminant‐Driven Modulation of Environmental DNA and RNA in Aquatic Systems

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 8, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
This study investigates how lead (Pb) and polyethylene (PE) microbreads influence eDNA and eRNA signals in salmon and eels. While Pb exposure does not interfere with eNA signals, PE microbeads increase eRNA production and slow molecular degradation, prolonging the detection window of eNA in aquatic ecosystems.

Change the world farm by farm: The moral care of audit and the paradox of animal welfare inspection in Europe Changer le monde, ferme par ferme : le soin moral de l'audit et le paradoxe des contrôles du bien‐être animal en Europe

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Volume 32, Issue 1, Page 55-74, March 2026.
In European animal welfare inspection on farms and at slaughter, inspectors encounter moral challenges that reveal the paradox at the heart of animal welfare.
