Analysis of Heavy Metal Cadmium (Cd) and Lead (Pb) in Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) in Pontianak City by Using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS)

open access: yesBiology, Medicine & Natural Product Chemistry
In Indonesia, eggplant is a favored vegetable with substantial production. The main objective of this study is to investigate the level of safety of eggplants marketed in traditional wholesale markets in Pontianak City against possible contamination of ...

2D copper nanozyme patches facilitate bone regeneration via interfacial modulation of osteoclast‐osteoblast dynamics

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This study develops a nano‐enzyme patch (ezPatch) targeting bone interfaces. Utilizing ligand‐to‐metal charge transfer (LMCT) catalysis and bone‐targeting ligands on copper nanosheets, ezPatch simultaneously scavenges reactive oxygen species (ROS) and generates oxygen in situ at bone‐losing sites.

Optimized micro‐sized cell sphere‐matrix niche co‐aggregates promote efficient oral and craniomaxillofacial bone regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The construct of cell‐niche co‐aggregates (GelMA‐SHED sphere‐DDMPs) promotes cranial and periodontal bone regeneration and ensures angiogenic‐osteogenic coupling by downregulating miR‐34c‐5p to enhance the expression of NOTCH1 and its intracellular domain (NICD).

Programmable three‐state nanoreactor for spatiotemporally controlled tumor therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The OMVs are shielded with a biocompatible Da–Ca shell, which prolongs its circulation period and promotes intratumoral accumulation. Importantly, the biocompatible Da–Ca shell can be controllably disintegrated in tumor microenvironment by using laser irradiation, generating in situ hyperthermia and releasing Ca2+.

Caveolin‐1 enriched apoptotic bodies derived from oral hard palate orchestrate bone remodeling to treat heterotopic ossification

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Downregulated CAV1 in HO is restored via apoptotic bodies from PMSCs, which reprogram bone remodeling by delivering CAV1 to target cells, highlighting the therapeutic role of EV subtypes in heterotopic ossification. Abstract Heterotopic ossification (HO) is a pathological process characterized by ectopic bone formation in non‐osseous tissues, with an ...

The Use of the Mannich Reaction toward Amino‐Based Anthraquinone Applied in Aqueous Redox Flow Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Energy & Sustainability Research
A water‐soluble anthraquinone derived from alizarin, 3HAAQ, is introduced as the redox‐active material in a negative potential electrolyte (anolyte) for aqueous redox flow batteries operating at pH 14.
