Functional characterisation of a predicted chloroplastic plant protein phosphatase [PDF]
The phosphatase AtPTPKISI is involved in the control of starch metabolism in Arabidopsis thaliana leaves at night. The SEX4 (Starch Excess 4) mutants, lacking this predicted phosphatase, have strongly reduced rates of starch metabolism.

This study unveils an unrecognized pro‐inflammatory epitranscriptomic checkpoint in psoriasis. By installing m7G modifications on the 5′ UTR of Bdkrb1 mRNA, METTL1 enhances receptor stability to orchestrate keratinocyte‐driven neutrophil recruitment via p38 MAPK signaling.

FOS3D: A Fluorescence‐Enabled Toolkit for Characterizing a Three‐dimensional Osteosarcoma Model
FOS3D describes fluorescent (F) osteosarcoma (OS) cells in a tri‐dimensional (3D) model. The study comprises three phases: development, where biofabrication parameters are tuned to achieve cytocompatibility and tumor‐specific mechanical properties in cell‐laden gelatin methacryloyl constructs; validation, where whole‐well fluorescence reading is ...

Characterization of a Monomeric Heat-Labile Classical Alkaline Phosphatase from Anabaena sp PCC7120
Alkaline phosphatases (APs), known inducible enzymes of the Pho regulon and poorly characterized in cyanobacteria, hydrolyze phosphomonoesters to produce inorganic phosphate (P-i) during P-i starvation.

Osteoblast Differentiation on Collagen Scaffold with Immobilized Alkaline Phosphatase
Background: In tissue engineering, scaffold characteristics play an important role in the biological interactions between cells and the scaffold. Cell adhesion, proliferation, and activation depend on material properties used for the fabrication of ...

This study utilized alloy micro‐galvanic coupling design to regulate the release of essential elements, thereby programming immune responses and promoting regeneration. The sacrificial anodic process of Zn‐0.8Mg reduced Zn2+ release compared to the “large cathode‐small anode” coupling of Zn‐0.8Fe.
