Dehydroalanine and Lysinoalanine in Thermolyzed Casein do not Promote Colon Cancer in the Rat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Thermolysis of proteins produces xenobiotic amino-acids such as the potentially toxic lysinoalanine, and the alkylating agent, dehydro¬alanine, which have been considered possible health hazards.

Secondary 3‐Chloropiperidines: Powerful Alkylating Agents

open access: yesChemistryOpen
In previous works, we demonstrated that tertiary 3‐chloropiperidines are potent chemotherapeutics, alkylating the DNA through the formation of bicyclic aziridinium ions. Herein, we report the synthesis of novel secondary 3‐chloropiperidine analogues. The

Initiation of Olefin Metathesis: Reaction of Deca-2,8-diene with Catalysts formed from Me_4Sn-WC1_6 and Me_3Al_2Cl_3-(Ph_3P)_2(NO)_2Cl_2Mo [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
The initial product of the metathesis of deca-2,8-diene with metathesis catalysts formed from either Me_4Sn–WCl_6 or Me_3Al_2Cl_3–(Ph_3P)_2(NO)_2Cl_2Mo is propene; labelling of the terminal groups of the diene and the alkylating agents gives a labelling ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Crystal structure of 3,6-dihydroxy-4,5-dimethylbenzene-1,2-dicarbaldehyde

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2018
The title compound, C10H10O4, was synthesized from tetramethyl-1,4-benzoquinone. In the crystal, the almost planar molecule (r.m.s. deviation = 0.024 Å) forms intramolecular hydrogen bonds between the aldehyde and hydroxy groups and exhibits C2v symmetry.
