Solar‐Driven Bifunctional Adsorption‐Storage Films for Ultra‐Fast Dehumidification and Freshwater Supply in Low‐carbon Buildings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bifunctional adsorption‐storage films enable autonomous indoor humidity regulation and freshwater harvesting, rapidly decreasing relative humidity from 90.7% to 21.6% within one hour while producing 1.1 kg·m−2·day−1 of water, offering a passive route towards energy‐efficient humidity control and sustainable indoor environments. ABSTRACT Indoor humidity

Exposure Assessment of Allergens and Metals in Settled Dust in French Nursery and Elementary Schools

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2015
The aim of this study was to characterise the contamination in settled dust in French classrooms and to provide an overview of the influencing factors of dust contamination. Cat, dog and dust mite allergens and metals were measured in 51 classrooms at 17

Nanomaterials for Allergy Diagnosis and Treatment: Advances, Opportunities and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials offer dual applications in allergy management. For diagnosis, nanomaterials enhance analytical sensitivity and improve detection in specific IgE and functional assays such as the basophil activation test (BAT). For allergen‐specific immunotherapy, nanomaterials enable allergen masking and controlled release, and effectively modulate the ...

Rationale of New Grading System: Central Compartment Atopic Disease

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central compartment atopic disease (CCAD) has recently been recognized as a distinct phenotype within the spectrum of type 2–dominant chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Although international guidelines highlight polypoid changes in the central nasal cavity, standardized diagnostic and classification criteria are still lacking.

Dosing Interval Extension of Dupilumab in CRSwNP: Five‐Year Real World Outcomes

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a persistent, often Type 2‐mediated inflammatory disease that markedly impairs quality of life. While dupilumab provides rapid improvement, there is limited evidence on long‐term outcomes beyond 2 years, and the clinical impact of dosing‐interval extension remains unclear.

Mass Spectrometry-Based Identification of Bioactive Bee Pollen Proteins: Evaluation of Allergy Risk after Bee Pollen Supplementation

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Bee pollen, because of its high content of nutrients, is a very valuable medicinal and nutritional product. However, since its composition is not completely studied, the consumption of this product may cause adverse effects, including allergic reactions.

Allergen Immunotherapy [PDF]

open access: yesMayo Clinic Proceedings, 2007
Allergen immunotherapy involves exposing a patient to a gradually escalating dose of a specific allergen with the intention of decreasing allergic and inflammatory responses, ultimately leading to a sustained decrease in allergic symptoms. A build-up phase (once weekly injections) is followed by a maintenance phase (once monthly injections) that ...

Characterization of allergens secreted by Anisakis simplex parasite: clinical relevance in comparison with somatic allergens

open access: yes, 2003
Background: Diagnostic methods for the study of allergic reactions to Anisakis simplex (A.s.) based on whole-body extracts of the larva are clearly insufficient. Objectives: To study the allergenicity of the proteins secreted by the parasite.
