A Novel Method Using Dual‐Energy Computed Tomography for Detecting Amiodarone‐Induced Lung Injury: A Cohort Pilot Study

There is no gold standard for detecting amiodarone‐induced‐lung injury (AILD). Dual‐Energy‐Computed‐Tomography (DECT) depicts iodine deposition in lungs abnormalities and the liver. We found a substantial correlation between the DECT assessment of AILD and comprehensive clinical evaluation of AILD. DECT can assist in the diagnosis of AILD.

Can Patient Education Lead the Way? Head‐To‐Head Comparison of EXACT and CERT for Early Recognition of Acute COPD Exacerbations

Daily head‐to‐head comparison of EXACT vs. CERT for early detection of acute COPD exacerbations. Both tools accurately identified exacerbations at diagnosis (AUC≈0.9), but CERT detected worsening one day earlier (p = 0.006). CERT's simplicity and free access support rapid patient self‐monitoring and may enable timely intervention.

Prognostic Value of a Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing‐Derived Summed Score in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and Connective Tissue Disease‐Associated Interstitial Lung Disease: A Prospective Cohort Study

A cardiopulmonary exercise testing‐derived summed score effectively predicted mortality or lung transplantation risk in newly diagnosed interstitial lung disease. Higher summed scores (2–5) were associated with markedly lower event‐free survival rates.

Epigenetic Dysregulation of the NKX2‐1/SPDEF Axis Drives Persistent Goblet Cell Differentiation and Epithelial Barrier Dysfunction in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

This study investigated airway epithelial barrier dysfunction persistence in ex‐smokers with COPD and underlying mechanisms using single‐cell RNA and ATAC sequencing. Epigenetic NKX2‐1/SPDEF dysregulation maintains goblet cell hyperplasia and barrier dysfunction despite long‐term smoking cessation.
