Pure Red Cell Aplasia After ABO Major-Mismatched Allogeneic Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation Successfully Treated with Plasma Exchange and Low-Dose Steroid: Two Case Reports

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2004
Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) is a complication of ABO-incompatible allogeneic stem cell transplantation. The mechanism is not well known, although the isoagglutinin titer before transplantation or cyclosporine use is considered to be the cause.

Assessment of Post-transplantation Liver Function Tests in Patients Undergoing Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation

open access: yesErciyes Medical Journal, 2020
Objective: Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a treatment with a considerable rate of complete cure in hematological disorders. Hepatic complications are common causes of morbidity and mortality affecting the survival after stem cell ...

Single‐Cell Dissection of Tumor‐Infiltrating Lymphocytes Reveals Cellular Architecture Predictive of Therapeutic Efficacy in Acral Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Autologous tumor‐infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy shows promising efficacy in acral melanoma, yet determinants of durable response remain unclear. By integrating single‐cell transcriptomics and TCR sequencing, this study reveals that TIL products enriched for T follicular helper and intermediate exhausted T cells establish persistent clonal ...

Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

tBid‐Mediated Genetic Ablation of Connective Tissue Cells Reveals Their Key Regulatory Function During Limb Regeneration in Axolotls

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We establish a tBid‐mediated cell ablation system in axolotls, achieve rapid and efficient ablation of multiple cell types, including muscle stem cell, spinal cord cell, and connective tissue (CT) cells. We investigate the role of CT using tBid‐mediated CT ablation and identify its essential role for limb development and regeneration.

Posttransplantation course after allogeneic stem cell transplantation in a patient with advanced mycosis fungoides—Balancing relapse and rejection

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice
Treatment of advanced cutaneous T‐cell lymphoma (CTCL) can be challenging. To date, the only potentially curative treatment option for advanced CTCL is allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Recurrent myelitis after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Report of two cases

open access: yesBMC Neurology, 2010
Background Allogeneic and autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation are established treatment options for haematological malignancies and may possibly be employed to treat a range of genetic and autoimmune diseases.

T Cell‐Independent Role of PD‐L1 in Kidney Repair: Mitigation of Tubular DNA Damage via PD‐L1/BRCA1 Interaction Following AKI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PD‐L1 is primarily expressed in renal tubules and upregulated in both murine models of AKI and renal biopsy samples from patients with AKI. PD‐L1 can promote adaptive TECs repair through interacting with BRCA1, independent of its canonical immunomodulatory function of T cells, and PD‐L1 supplementation may represent a promising therapeutic strategy for

Aptamer‐Directed Porous DNA Nanocomposite Hydrogel for Active Pulp Preservation: Immunomodulation, Stem Cell Recruitment and Reparative Dentinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an injectable DNA‐based porous hydrogel integrating catechol motifs and targeting aptamers for pulpitis management. Upon in situ crosslinking, the scaffold actively recruits endogenous dental pulp stem cells, restores redox homeostasis, and modulates immune responses.
