Game Theory Models for the Verification of the Collective Behaviour of Autonomous Cars [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2017
The collective of autonomous cars is expected to generate almost optimal traffic. In this position paper we discuss the multi-agent models and the verification results of the collective behaviour of autonomous cars.

Lifestyle Behaviors and Cardiotoxic Treatment Risks in Adult Childhood Cancer Survivors

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Higher doses of anthracyclines and heart‐relevant radiotherapy increase cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. This study assessed CVD and CVD risk factors among adult childhood cancer survivors (CCSs) across cardiotoxic treatment risk groups and examined associations between lifestyle behaviors and treatment risks.

Almost linear decoder for optimal geometrically local quantum codes

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Geometrically local quantum codes, which are error-correction codes embedded in R^{D} with checks acting only on qubits within a fixed spatial distance, have garnered significant interest.

The effect of spectral filters on reading speed and accuracy following stroke

open access: yesJournal of Optometry, 2013
Purpose: The aim of the study was to determine the effect of optimal spectral filters on reading performance following stroke. Methods: Seventeen stroke subjects, aged 43–85, were considered with an age-matched Control Group (n = 17).

Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

Study on the constructions of optimal almost quaternary sequences with period 2q

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2019
Based on the Chinese remainder theorem and cyclotomic classes of order 4,the constructions of almost quaternary sequences with period N=2q (where q is an odd prime) was studied.According to the number of “0” in the two positions y(0) and y(q),three types

Greedy Is an Almost Optimal Deque [PDF]

open access: yesWorkshop on Algorithms and Data Structures, 2015
In this paper we extend the geometric binary search tree (BST) model of Demaine, Harmon, Iacono, Kane, and Pǎtrascu (DHIKP) to accommodate for insertions and deletions.

Optimality and Almost Optimality of Mixture Stopping Rules

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1978
It is shown that for a test of a composite hypothesis on the parameter $\theta$ of an exponential family of distributions, mixture stopping rules are almost optimal with respect to certain criteria of optimality and a unique stopping rule is to be found among them which is optimal with respect to another type of optimality.

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Risk Factors for Pediatric B‐Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study for China Net Childhood Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐
