Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Almost automorphic and pseudo almost periodic solutions to damped Euler–Lagrange equations

open access: yesExamples and Counterexamples
This paper investigates the existence of almost automorphic, asymptotically almost automorphic, pseudo almost automorphic, and pseudo almost periodic solutions to damped Euler–Lagrange equations.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Almost Periodic (Type) Solutions to Parabolic Cauchy Inverse Problems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We first show the existence and uniqueness of (pseudo) almost periodic solutions of some types of parabolic equations. Then, we apply the results to a type of Cauchy parabolic inverse problems and show the existence, uniqueness, and stability.

Revisiting Mission‐Oriented Cancer Research to tackle the increasing burden of cancer in Europe–a policy perspective

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Translational cancer research and its implementation through competitively selected Comprehensive Cancer Centers across Europe should be the primary policy focus for addressing the increasing cancer burden in Europe and counteract the present main strategy to convert cancer to a chronic disease.

Boundedness and almost periodicity for some state-dependent delay differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2002
This work is devoted to the study the existence and uniqueness of bounded solutions for state-dependent delay differential equations. We also study the existence of periodic and almost periodic solutions.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Decay estimate of viscosity solutions of nonlinear parabolic PDEs and applications

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2014
The aim of this paper is to establish a decay estimate for viscosity solutions of nonlinear PDEs. As an application we prove existence and uniqueness for time almost periodic viscosity solutions.

Almost Periodicity of Mild Solutions of Inhomogeneous Periodic Cauchy Problems

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1999
The authors consider a mild solution \(u\) to the well-posed inhomogeneous Cauchy problem \[ u'(t)= A(t)u(t)+ f(t), \] on a Banach space \(X\), where \(A(\cdot)\) is periodic. For a problem on \(\mathbb{R}_+\) the authors show that \(u\) is asymptotically almost-periodic if \(f\) is asymptotically almost-periodic, \(u\) is bounded, uniformly continuous
