Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

IPP Routing Architecture [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
This paper describes the structure of the IPP routing architecture. IPP is an evolution of the TCP-IP protocol. The main advantage of IPP is the variable length addressing scheme.

Multipath QoS routing algorithm based on Ad Hoc network in mine environment

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2021
In order to improve the integrity and accuracy of data transmission in mine environment, a multipath QoS routing algorithm based on Ad Hoc network is proposed. The algorithm introduces the blockchain into the routing establishment process.

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Adaptive traffic distributing based on dynamic topology for multipath routing in MANET

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2006
In order to circumvent these problems that led to impose both communications overhead on the network and processing overhead on node in most MANET multipath routing schemes proposed so far when the same size load was distributed into the various paths ...

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Simultaneous Optimization of Storage Allocation and Routing Problems for Belt-conveyor Transportation

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2007
Raw materials for industrial steel-making plants need to be stored in material yards in order to satisfy various production requirements. The stored materials are supplied to production plants by belt-conveyors with multiple alternative transportation ...

Structural and biochemical analysis of a B12 superbinder

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
BtuG proteins are vitamin B12 scavengers in Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, a dominant human gut bacterium. We present crystal structures of three BtuG homologs bound to cobalamin and its precursor cobinamide, revealing picomolar binding affinities, among the highest known for any natural protein.

Comparison of routing algorithms for storage and retrieval mechanism in cylindrical AS/RS

open access: yesTransport, 2016
The objective of this research is to propose new routing algorithms for the Storage and Retrieval Mechanism (SRM) in the Cylindrical Automated Storage and Retrieval System (C-AS/RS) and contribute to the system conceptualization by investigating the ...

Green Vehicle Routing Problem: State of the Art and Future Directions

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Green vehicle routing problem (GVRP) aims to consider greenhouse gas emissions reduction, while routing the vehicles. It can be either through adopting Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs) or with existing conventional fossil fuel vehicles in fleets.
