Inhalable chitosan microparticles as tools in tuberculosis therapy
Lung tuberculosis (TB) represents approximately 80% of total cases and, therefore, the lung has been explored as an effective route for the delivery of drugs in the ambit of pulmonary TB. The pulmonary delivery of antitubercular drugs in a carrier system

Pathological tissue rigidity mechanoprimes microglia by enhancing actin cytoskeleton–nucleus coupling and chromatin opening at rigidity‐responsive cis‐regulatory elements (mechanoCREs). Subsequent NF‐κB/p65 signaling converges on this permissive regulatory state to amplify inflammatory gene expression and microglial activation.

ABSTRACT African swine fever (ASF), caused by African swine fever virus (ASFV), is a devastating viral disease in domestic pigs and wild boar. ASFV is a large DNA virus whose capsid assembly takes place within perinuclear viral factories (VFs). Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that reticulophagy confers antiviral activity against multiple RNA ...

Defence mechanisms of human alveolar macrophages in tuberculosis
In human tuberculosis, the mechanisms leading to an effective immune defence in the lung are not understood. This work identified the Tumor Necrosis Factor and chemokines, which are secreted by alveolar macrophages as modulators of the immune response ...

Multi‐Tissue Crosstalk Regulating Meniscus Healing Under Inflammation and Physiological Loading
Using a novel Meniscus‐on‐a‐chip (MoC) model integrated with a meniscus‐specific bioreactor, this study investigated the roles of multi‐tissue crosstalk that regulates injury, healing, and degeneration of the meniscus injury under inflammation and pathophysiological loading.

Dual‐Targeted Biomimetic MoSe2 Nanozymes for Enhancing Peri‐Implant Soft Tissue Integration
A dual‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme, MoSe2@SPMM, selectively targets Staphylococcus aureus and oxidatively stressed macrophages. Near‐infrared activation couples contact‐enhanced photothermal bacterial eradication with reactive oxygen species scavenging to disrupt the pathogenic–immunological amplification loop.

Nebulized BN@NF nanozymes integrate boron nanosheets with Nd‐doped iron phosphide to form a sono‐magneto‐responsive Z‐scheme heterostructure. Under ultrasound and magnetic activation, BN@NF amplifies ROS generation, eradicates bacteria, disrupts biofilms, and reshapes pulmonary inflammation through NF‐κB suppression, mitophagy promotion, and M1‐to‐M2 ...
