THE INTERACTION OF PHOSPHENIMIDOUS AMIDES AND PHOSPHENODIIMIDIC AMIDES WITH AMINES

Phosphorus and Sulfur and the Related Elements, 1980
Abstract Phosphenimidous amides 1 react with amines to give phosphonimidic diamides 3a-b or phosphorous triamides 3d-f respectively. The nature of the product depends on the substituent R (Me3Si or t-Bu) attached to the imidic nitrogen. The amide and imide forms of the compounds 3 are relatively stable and incapable of interconvertion under the ...

Synthesis and characterization of phenylated aromatic poly(amide–amide)s [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Applied Polymer Science, 1998
A modified new aromatic diamine 2,5-bis[(4-aminophenyl)4-benzamide]-3,4-diphenyl thiophene (VI) with preformed amide linkages and pendant phenyl substituents was synthesized, characterized by IR, NMR, mass spectroscopy, and a physical constant. Novel poly(amide-amide)s were synthesized from VI and aromatic diacid chlorides in N,N-dimethylacetamide by a

Peptide macrocyclization through amide-to-amide transpeptidation

Tetrahedron, 2014
Abstract Cyclic cysteine peptides are peptide macrocycles endowed with enhanced metabolic stability and potentially, with membrane permeability. They have attracted attention in drug design and interest in their synthesis. The chemical approach for macrocyclization through transpeptidation bears striking similarity to the biological approach using an

Amides

2011
Publisher Summary Amides are amine derivatives of carboxylic acids. This chapter discusses general conditions for separation of underivatized amides. Derivatization of primary and aromatic amides is detailed. Derivatized primary amides are more volatile. Except for simple aromatic amides such as benzamide and acetanilide, derivatization is recommended.

Acid Amides

1982
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the biodegradable ability of acid amides used to produce herbicides, and fungicides. The chapter begins with a discussion of Acetaminophen and its reactions. Acetochlor— a pre-emergent herbicide, is used to control grass weeds and some broadleaf weeds in corn and soybeans.
