Exploring the Ring–Ring Expansion and Pyrazole Substitution of Chlorophosphazenes [PCl2N]3,4 Through Mechanochemical Ball‐Milling and Quantum Mechanical Computation

open access: yesJournal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Mechanochemical ball‐milling of cyclic chlorophosphazenes at room temperature enables ring–ring expansion to larger cycles and pyrazole substitution, avoiding hazardous solvents and high temperatures. ABSTRACT In this study, we are using low‐energy mechanochemical ball‐milling with [PCl2N]3–4 at room temperature as an alternative to high‐temperature ...

Tautomeric Equilibria Studies by Mass Spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Tautomerism in organic chemistry has been extensively studied in condensed phase by spectrometric methods, mainly by IR and NMR techniques. Mass spectrometry studies start 40 years ago but just recently it has been recognized the importance of the mass ...

Evaluating the Impact of Phosphate‐Buffered Saline Solutions on the Micellar Behavior of Dimeric Surfactants and Their Interaction With Lipid Membranes

open access: yesJournal of Surfactants and Detergents, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Over the past few years, dicationic alkylammonium bromide dimeric surfactants have emerged as promising agents for numerous biotechnology and medical applications. However, there have been few studies examining their behavior within a biological context, particularly regarding the impact physiological buffers have on their physico‐chemical ...

Monomer‐Dependent Selectivity in Sulfur‐Containing Ring‐Opening Copolymerisation: Bimetallic Catalysis for Predictive Design of Degradable Polymers

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 42, October 13, 2025.
A unified Cr(III)/Rb(I) catalyst was developed for sulfur‐based ring‐opening copolymerisation (ROCOP), enabling high selectivity. Perfectly alternating copolymers were obtained from COS with minimal byproducts. PhNCS was identified as a practical alternative. Lower selectivity and O/S scrambling were observed for CS2 and thioanhydride . Abstract Sulfur‐
