Lithium Dimethyl(amido)zinc Complexes:  Contrasting Zincate (Amido = TMP) and Inverse Zincate (Amido = HMDS) Structures on Addition of TMEDA

Organometallics, 2006
Introducing TMEDA to the lithium dimethyl(amido)zincates “LiZn(NR2)Me2” leads to a discrete ion-contacted zincate with TMEDA bound to lithium in the case of NR2 = TMP but to a novel “inverse zincate” with TMEDA bound to zinc in the case of NR2 = HMDS, where unexpectedly Me2Zn(TMEDA) functions as a η1,μ ligand to dimeric (LiHMDS)2 molecules to afford a ...

Lanthanon(III) Amido Complexes [PDF]

open access: possibleSynthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, 1981
Abstract Ln(NHCOR)3 (I) and Ln(SCNHCH3)3 (II) are prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, electronic and infrared spectra (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm; R = CH3, C6H5, C5H4N). The bonding of matal to amide is through nitrogen in I while it is through sulphur in II.

N-Porphyrinylamino and -amido Compounds by Addition of an Amino or Amido Nitrogen to a Porphyrin Meso Position

Inorganic Chemistry, 2000
This report describes the synthesis and characterization of a series of octaethylporphyrin derivatives in which the porphyrin pi-network is connected to phenyl, 3-fluoranthenyl, or 1-pyrenyl aromatic systems through a meso amino or amido nitrogen. Metal-free bases and zinc(II) and iron(III) complexes have been obtained.

Tripodal Amido Boron and Aluminum Complexes

Inorganic Chemistry, 2007
The synthesis and structural elucidations of novel boron and aluminum complexes incorporating the tripodal triamido [N3]3- ligand framework that is hypothesized to promote the preorganized pyramidal geometry for high Lewis acidity are reported. Salt metathesis between the in situ-generated trianionic lithium complexes of the tripodal amido ligands with

Synthesis and Structural Elucidation of Alkyl, Amido, and Mixed Alkyl−Amido “Highly-Coordinated” Zincates

Organometallics, 2008
The solution and solid-state characterization of the tetraorganozincates [(TMEDA)2Li2ZnMe(NMe2)3] (2) and [(TMEDA)2Li2ZnMe4] (4) and the all-amido triorganozincate [{(TMEDA)LiZn(NMe2)3}2] (3) are reported. X-ray crystallographic studies reveal that 2 and 4 exhibit similar structural motifs, namely trinuclear Li···Zn···Li chain arrangements held ...
