1. A new method of synthesis of substituted α,α-diaminocarboxylic acids was suggested and developed; it starts with α-amino acids and passes through the corresponding oxazolinones and 4-bromooxazolinones; amides 2. A method of synthesis of substituted α,α-diaminocarboxylic acids was suggested; this consists of heating α-hydroxy-α ...

Stereoselective Synthesis of α,β-Diamino Nitriles from Amino Acids
Synthesis, 1994α-Amino acids 1 are readily converted into the corresponding N,N-dibenzylamino aldehydes 2 which in turn serve as starting materials for enantiomerically pure α-N,N-dibenzylamino aldimines 5, 6 and 7 having benzyl, tosyl and trimethylsilyl groups, respectively, at the aldimine nitrogen atom. All three classes of chiral aldimines undergo stereoselective

Synthesis of β,β′-Diamino Acids from α-Amino Acid Derived β-Lactams
Synlett, 2008Ring opening of protected 3-aminoalkyl-substituted azetidin-2-ones with 0-, N-, or S-nucleophiles led to β,β'-diaminocarboxylic esters, amides, and thioesters, respectively. The reaction outcome is improved by addition of catalytic amounts of sodium azide. Reduction of the β-lactam amide moiety led to diamino alcohols.

Addition of allylzinc to α-amino acid-derived imines: synthesis of diamino alcohols by hydroboration
Monatshefte für Chemie - Chemical Monthly, 2010Imines obtained by condensation of Z-protected or Boc-protected α-amino aldehydes with α-amino tert-butyl esters or with O-silyl-protected amino alcohols were reacted with preformed allyl zinc yielding homoallylamines with yields around 50% and selectivities ranging from 50:50 to 90:10.

Bis(amino acid) derivatives of 1,4-diamino-2-butyne that adopt a C2-symmetric turn conformation
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 20051,4-Diamino-2-butyne was prepared from 1,4-dichloro-2-butyne via 1,4-diazido-2-butyne. Bis(amino acid) derivatives of 1,4-diamino-2-butyne having the general structure (Boc-Xxx-NHCH2C[triple bond])2 (Xxx = Ala, Phe and Met) were prepared and examined by 1H NMR spectroscopy.
