Primary Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection Presenting as Elevated Aminotransferases

open access: yes, 2010
Background/PurposePrimary human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection is often under-diagnosed because of its nonspecific presentations. Elevated aminotransferase levels is one of its clinical manifestations, but is infrequently reported in the

Real‐World Longitudinal Data on the Impact of Hydroxychloroquine Blood Level Monitoring on Lupus Outcomes: Results of a Prospective Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is a cornerstone therapy in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), but the weight‐based dosing does not account for clinical factors that can introduce individual variability in drug metabolism and clearance. We leveraged longitudinal data from a prospective SLE cohort to identify clinical factors that predict ...

l-Triiodothyronine Aminotransferase

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1973
Abstract An enzyme which catalyzes the transamination of l-triiodothyronine and of halogenated and nitrated tyrosines has been detected in the soluble fraction of a variety of rabbit organs. Kidney and liver had the highest specific activities of this enzyme which was isolated from the latter source.
