A three-layer model of an amorphous microwire
Surface Engineering and Applied Electrochemistry, 2010A theory of a three-layer model for an amorphous microwire is studied. The obtained theoretical results are confirmed by an experiment. For a more precise comparison of the theory with the experiment, a series of experimental measurements is needed, which are also discussed in the paper.

Magnetic Dynamic Interaction in Amorphous Microwire Array
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2010The magnetic dynamic interaction in ferromagnetic microwire arrays has been studied based on thin Co-based glass-coated amorphous microwires. The longitudinal hysteresis loops of the microwire arrays consisting of different number of wires have been measured statically with no current flowing through the arrays and dynamically with ac current flowing ...

Giant magnetoimpedance in thin amorphous and nanocrystalline microwires
Applied Physics A, 2013We present the results on Giant magneto-impedance effect (GMI) in amorphous and nanocrystalline microwires at frequencies until 4 GHz, paying special attention to tailoring the frequency and magnetic field dependence of the GMI effect. Correlation between magnetoelastic anisotropy and magnetic field dependences of diagonal and off-diagonal impedance ...

Switching field distribution study in amorphous microwires
INTERMAG Asia 2005. Digests of the IEEE International Magnetics Conference, 2005., 2005A switching field distribution study was performed under different measuring frequencies and applied stresses to distinguish the influence of each on the domain wall potential. The study was conducted on glass-coated amorphous microwires with nominal composition Fe/sub 77.5/Si/sub 7.5/B/sub 15/ and prepared by the Taylor-Ulitovsky method.

Giant magnetoimpedance in glass-covered amorphous microwires
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2003Abstract GMI was investigated in amorphous Co-rich glass-covered microwires with very low magnetostriction constant. Internal stresses, induced in the metallic core by the glass coating, substantially reduce the magnitude of GMI. To improve GMI properties magnetoelastic coupling was reduced by a careful choice of alloy composition and by subsequent ...

The frequency and stress dependence of giant magneto-impedence in amorphous microwires
INTERMAG 2000 Digest of Technical Papers. 2000 IEEE International Magnetics Conference, 2000The magnetoimpedance of a glass coated amorphous microwire of nominal composition Co/sub 83.2/Mn/sub 7.6/Si/sub 5.8/B/sub 3.3/ was studied by changing a dc magnetic field within /spl plusmn/140 Oe and the frequency of the current up to 11 MHz. Giant magnetoimpedance effect was observed within a frequency range of -1-8 MHz with a maximum change of 53 ...

Surface magnetic structures in amorphous ferromagnetic microwires
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2017Abstract The spatial period of magnetization perturbations that occur near the surface of magnetic nanotube or nanowire under the influence of surface magnetic anisotropy is determined by means of numerical simulation as a function of the sample geometry and material parameters. The surface magnetization distribution obtained is then used to estimate

Magnetoelastic sensor based on GMI of amorphous microwire
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2001Abstract The magnetoelastic sensor based on the stress dependence of the GMI effect in Co 68.5 Mn 6.5 Si 10 B 15 amorphous microwire has been introduced. This amorphous microwire after adequate heat treatment shows the maximum GMI ratio (Δ Z / Z ) m up to around 130%. GMI effect of this microwire has been found to be affected by the magnetoelastic

Controlled Manipulation of Domain Walls in Amorphous Microwires
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2011In this paper, results on the controlled nucleation, propagation, and collision of magnetic domain walls in amorphous glass-coated Fe77.5Si7.5B15 microwires with positive magnetostriction are reported. The effects of nucleation fields and phase differences between the nucleation and magnetization fields, as well as of the sample dimensions on the ...

Bolometric Detection of Ferromagnetic Resonance in Amorphous Microwires
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2015Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) of glass-coated amorphous Fe78Ni8P10B10 and Co67Fe4Cr7Si8B14 microwires was investigated at frequency 9.54 GHz by the standard FMR and the electrically detected FMR techniques. Static magnetic field was applied parallel to the wire axis and the resonance was driven by the microwave current passing through the wire.
