Interference Channel With Full-Duplex Amplify-and-Forward Transmitter Cooperations

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper considers a Gaussian interference channel (IC), where two transmitters send two messages to two receivers respectively. By utilizing the in-band full-duplex (FD) amplify-and-forward (AF) scheme, transmitter cooperations are deployed to enhance

Optimized Amplify-and-Forward Relaying for Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

open access: yes2008 IEEE 68th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2008
Cooperative communication techniques promise the advantages of MIMO (multi-input multi-output) communications for wireless scenarios with single-antenna terminals. In this paper, we investigate the performance of a vehicle-to-vehicle cooperative scheme where another vehicle in the vicinity of the source vehicle acts as a relay. The underlying source-to-

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

SINR Maximizing Beamforming Schemes for the Full Duplex Amplify-and-Forward Relay Channel

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
We propose signal-to-interference-plus-noise power ratio (SINR) maximizing rank one beamforming schemes for the full-duplex (FD) relay systems. The non-regenerative amplify and forward (AaF) relay is considered with multiple transmit antennas and ...

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

EMD-Based Amplify Quantized and Forward Cooperative Relaying Technique for Wireless Communication System

open access: yesABUAD Journal of Engineering Research and Development
Wireless communication system is crucial to telecommunications infrastructure and has played an essential role in national growth. However, the system's performance is hindered by multipath propagation, which has negatively impact in its performance ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Covert Communications in a Hybrid DF/AF Relay System

open access: yesSensors
In this paper, we study covert communications in a hybrid decode-and-forward (DF)/ amplify-and-forward (AF) relay system. The considered relay in normal operation forwards messages from a source node to a destination node in either DF or AF mode on ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
