Abstract The intra- and extra-cellular monophenolase and diphenolase activities of the tyrosinase produced by Amylomyces rouxii were determined in submerged culture using Melin-Norkrans medium supplemented with 12.5 mg/L pentachlorophenol (PCP) and 0.1 g/L tyrosine.

Koji made with A. rouxii YTH3 was applicable for saccharifying agent for ethanol fermentation. Novel alcoholic beverage was made from various cereal grains and this koji, and analyzed.

Modeling radial growth of Amylomyces rouxii and its tolerance to selected pharmaceutical active compounds

Filamentous fungi that tolerate the presence of pharmaceutical active compounds (PhACs) have the potential application of removing them. In this work it was showed that radial growth data can be modeled and used to determine the kinetic parameters to quantify fungal growth in the presence of PhACs.
