ABSTRACT Tendinopathy is a complex, painful condition that affects up to 5% of the general population in their lifetime. Antibiotic treatment with fluoroquinolones has been associated with the onset of tendinopathy and tendon rupture. The mechanisms behind fluoroquinolone induced tendinopathy remain unclear. To probe activation of potentially causative

Insulin‐Dependence and Survival in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors: Results From the US‐NTSG Group
ABSTRACT Introduction PNETs are rare pancreatic malignancies originating from islet cells and exhibit a strong co‐occurrence with Diabetes Mellitus (DM), associated with worse survival outcomes. However, studies have yet to delineate the impact of insulin dependent (IDDM) and non‐insulin dependent (NIDDM) on poor oncological outcomes. Methods Utilizing

ABSTRACT Mitochondrial dysfunction and energy imbalance caused by chemotherapy are key contributors to skeletal muscle atrophy, which severely impacts the quality of life in cancer patients. Paclitaxel, a commonly used chemotherapeutic agent, is known to promote muscle wasting and cellular senescence, largely by impairing mitochondrial function.
