Discovery of Natural Compound α‐Hederin via Large‐Scale Screening as a Targeted JAK/STAT3 Inhibitor for Ovarian Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies α‐Hederin as a potent dual JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor that blocks STAT3 activation in ovarian cancer. By disrupting STAT3‐driven transcriptional programs, α‐Hederin suppresses tumor proliferation, invasion, and EMT, while enhancing cisplatin efficacy and overcoming chemoresistance.

Calcitonin Gene‐Related Peptide (CGRP)‐Expressing Neurons in the External Lateral Parabrachial Area Regulate Pain‐Induced Sleep Disturbances

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lynch et al., identified novel targets on the wake‐promoting pathways that can effectively treat pain‐induced sleep disturbances. The authors demonstrated that Calcitonin gene‐related peptide‐expressing neurons (CGRP) in the external lateral parabrachial nucleus (PBelCGRP) serve as the primary relay node for pain stimuli that cause sleep disruption ...

A look inside the association codeine-paracetamol: clinical pharmacology supports analgesic efficacy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Acute and chronic pain often requires a multimodal approach. Combination therapy reduces the number of individual daily administrations and improves patient's compliance with the prescribed analgesic treatment. Despite the association codeine/paracetamol
