Analgesic activity of floctafenine after cholecystectomy

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1978
In a double‐blind. crossover study involving 40 post‐cholecystectomy patients. the analgesic activity of a new oral nonnarcotic agent, floctafenine, was compared with that of oral meperidine and oral propoxyphene. A behavioral approach to the measurement of pain relief.

Mydriatic activity of analgesics in mice

Experientia, 1956
Dans une serie de 20 analgesiques puissants nous avons trouve une correlation hautement significative entre l'activite analgesique et mydriatique chez la souris.

Peripheral Analgesic Activity

2014
The differentiation between central and peripheral analgesic drugs is nowadays of more or less historical value. Most of the so-called peripheral analgesics possess anti-inflammatory properties and in some cases also antipyretic activity besides analgesia.

Central Analgesic Activity

2014
Many diseases have pain as a classical symptom requiring treatment with analgesics. Primary cancer and secondary metastases can lead to severe pain, which needs to be managed with strong analgesics, like opioid drugs. Opioids usually are safe when they are used correctly, but people who misuse opioids can become addicted.

[Analgesic activity of pymadine].

Farmakologiia i toksikologiia, 1989
The analgesic effect of 4-aminopyridine (pymadine) was studied in experiments on rats and mice at thermal and chemical pain stimulation. Pymadine (1, 3 and 5 mg/kg) exerted the analgesic effect when administered alone and concomitantly with analgin and morphine at chemical pain stimulation.

Analgesic Activity.

Progress in drug research. Fortschritte der Arzneimittelforschung. Progres des recherches pharmaceutiques, 2016
Analgesics are agents which selectively relieve pain by acting in the CNS and peripheral pain mediators without changing consciousness. Analgesics may be narcotic or non-narcotic. The study of pain in animals raises ethical, philosophical, and technical problems. Both peripheral and central pain models are included to make the test more evident for the

Analgesic Activity of Quisqualis indica

2017
The aim of the present study was designed to evaluate the analgesic activity of hydro alcoholic extract of Quisqualis indica Linn. leaves in wistar rats. The preliminary phytochemical screening of hydroalcoholic extract revealed the presence of alkaloids, carbohydrates, protein and amino acid, Saponins, glycosides, steroids, tannins, flavonoid and ...

Analgesic Activity of Endorphins

1983
The demonstration that electrical stimulation of the mesencephalic gray in rats produced a profound analgesic response was one of the earliest reports providing experimental evidence suggestive of the presence of endogenous morphine-like substances in the brain (Reynolds, 1969).

Analogues of Capsaicin with Agonist Activity as Novel Analgesic Agents:  Structure−Activity Studies. 4. Potent, Orally Active Analgesics

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1996
Structural features of three regions of the capsaicin molecule necessary for agonist properties were delineated by a previously reported modular approach. These in vitro agonist effects were shown to correlate with analgesic potency in rodent models. Combination of optimal structural features from each of these regions of the capsaicin molecule have ...
