The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Synthesis of electronically tunable multifunction biquad filter using voltage differencing differential input buffered amplifiers

open access: yesETRI Journal
Biquad filters are commonly used in analog circuits for various purposes in sig-nal processing and communication applications. We synthesize an analog active biquad filter with five types of voltage-mode filtering functions.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Features of the implementation of a digital-to-analog conversion based on pulse-width modulation and an RC circuit

open access: yesИзвестия Томского политехнического университета: Промышленная кибернетика
In scientific, educational, and technical applications, smooth voltage regulation over a specific range is often required. Most modern devices are controlled by digital microcontrollers, necessitating specialized devices – digital-to-analog conversion ...

A Fractional-Order Transitional Butterworth-Butterworth Filter and Its Experimental Validation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper introduces the generalization of the classical Transitional Butterworth-Butterworth Filter (TBBF) to the Fractional-Order (FO) domain. Stable rational approximants of the FO-TBBF are optimally realized.

Random Filters for Compressive Sampling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This paper discusses random filtering, a recently proposed method for directly acquiring a compressed version of a digital signal. The technique is based on convolution of the signal with a fixed FIR filter having random taps, followed by downsampling ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Analysis and Design of M-Channel Hybrid Filter Bank With Digital Calibration

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Hybrid filter bank (HFB) is widely used in frequency-interleaved analog-to-digital converters, but traditional HFB structures suffer various degrees of imperfections. This paper presents a new-structure HFB based on power complementary pair. The proposed

Variable Bandwidth Analog Channel Filters for Software Defined Radio [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
An important aspect of Software Defined Radio is the ability to define the bandwidth of the filter that selects the desired channel. This paper first explains the importance of channel filtering.

Channel Capacity under General Nonuniform Sampling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper develops the fundamental capacity limits of a sampled analog channel under a sub-Nyquist sampling rate constraint. In particular, we derive the capacity of sampled analog channels over a general class of time-preserving sampling methods ...
