Multiple fault diagnosis in analogue circuits
Proceedings of the 2005 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design, 2005., 2006The paper deals with multiple fault diagnosis in analogue AC or DC circuits with limited accessible terminals for excitation and measurement and brings an algorithm for identifying faulty elements and evaluating their parameters. The main achievement is a method enabling us to efficiently identify faulty elements.

A Design Methodology for Analogue CMOS Circuits
2005 18th Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems Design, 2005Summary form only given. The design of CMOS analogue circuits calls for the appraisal of transistor geometries and currents to meet prescribed specifications like gain-bandwidth, min. power consumption, etc. Design methodologies to this effect are scarce. Often they resume to cautiously chosen simulations performed by experienced designers.

This chapter on analogue circuit design describes electric circuits that are used for the processing of analogue signals. Analogue signals have a continuous progression and can have any arbitrary value within certain limits.

GaAs monolithic analogue circuits
1979 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1979The desirability for multi-channel RF systems has given tremendous impetus to the fabrication of small physical volume, low cost receiver modules. The obvious approach to this requirement is to produce the circuitry monolithically. Circuit design and fabrication techniques are currently being developed to enable such circuits to be realised.

Intuitive analogue circuit design
Electronics & Communication Engineering Journal, 1997This paper is concerned with ideas and methods for a teaching approach that has been developed to provide insight into and aid creativity in the process of analogue circuit design. This approach is modelled on the way the authors see circuit designers acting as cognitive agents, namely qualitatively, intuitively, abstractly and in a knowledge rich and ...

Synchronized Oscillations in Networks of Neuron Analogue Circuits
Mathematical Medicine and Biology, 1984A simplified circuit analogue of a nerve cell is introduced here. This circuit is based on modulation of a voltage-controlled oscillator by signals entering through a circuit analogue of a chemical synapse. Phase locking of frequency-encoded information is described, and it is shown that large networks can sustain stable spatial patterns of phase ...

INTEGRATED CIRCUITS (ICs) are simply circuits whose components are formed simultaneously on a single piece of semiconducting material. Instead of wiring together the discrete components of a circuit — such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors — the IC designer arranges for them to be produced and electrically interconnected as a ...

ESD for Analogue Circuit Design
2003Designing for Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) robustness is a critical requirement for Integrated Circuits (ICs) since ESD voltages as low as the Gate Oxide breakdown can damage an IC. This is especially true for the newer lower Geometry Processes where the Gate Oxide breakdowns are reducing all the time. ESD Protection for Analogue or mixed signal parts

Reliability of analogue circuits [PDF]
The reliability of CMOS circuits has worsened due to technology scaling. From the review of previous work on reliability study for CMOS circuits, it has been found that both digital and analogue circuits were susceptible to single event effects. Single event effects although causing non-permanent errors have already been identified to have caused ...

Synthesis of Analogue Circuits [PDF]
In analogue circuit designs, an initial circuit topology is usually chosen with a set of parameters from the designer's experience. A sequence of simulation and redesign then follows to produce a circuit with acceptable performance. This procedure is tedious, repetitive and time consuming.
