Translocations involving anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) [PDF]
Anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL) comprises a group of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHLs) that were first described in 1985 by Stein and co-workers and are characterized by the expression of the CD30/Ki-1 antigen (Stein et al., 1985). Approximately half of these lymphomas are associated with a typical chromosomal translocation, t(2;5)(p23;q35).

Holistic View of ALK TKI Resistance in ALK-Positive Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase expressed at early stages of normal development and in various cancers including ALK-positive anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALK+ ALCL), in which it is the main therapeutic target.

Metallic implant-associated lymphoma: ALK-negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma associated with total knee replacement arthroplasty [PDF]
Metallic implant-associated lymphomas are extremely rare. Only seven cases have been reported in association with knee joint arthroplasty, and all tumors were large B-cell lymphomas.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma mimicking a psoas abscess
We report a case of Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma mimicking a psoas abscess in a 6-year-old girl which posed significant diagnostic challenges. She presented with a vague two-month history of anaemia, fevers and back and abdominal pain.

Targeting anaplastic lymphoma kinase in neuroblastoma [PDF]
Over the last decade, anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), a receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK), has been identified as a fusion partner in a diverse variety of translocation events resulting in oncogenic signaling in many different cancer types. In tumors where the full‐length ALK RTK itself is mutated, such as neuroblastoma, the picture regarding the role ...

Clinicopathological features of extranodal lymphomas: Kuwait experience [PDF]
A total of 935 patients with extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) diagnosed in the period between January 1985 and December 2000 in Kuwait Cancer Center, serving the whole population of Kuwait, were used to describe the clinicopathological and ...

Anaplastic lymphoma kinase status in rhabdomyosarcomas [PDF]
Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare soft tissue sarcoma that typically affects children, adolescents, and young adults. Despite treatment via a multidisciplinary approach, the prognosis of advance-stage rhabdomyosarcomas remains poor, and a new treatment strategy is needed.

Anaplastic cutaneous lymphoma mimicking an infection. [PDF]
We present a case of a 17-year-old boy who presented with a skin lesion with extension to the soft tissues of the left thigh. On ultrasound, a homogeneous and hypoechoic expansile formation in the subcutaneous tissue was found, measuring 6.5 × 5 × 3.5 cm,

miR-497 suppresses cycle progression through an axis involving CDK6 in ALK-positive cells
Anaplastic large-cell lymphoma, a T-cell neoplasm, is primarily a pediatric disease. Seventy-five percent of pediatric anaplastic large-cell lymphoma cases harbor the chromosomal translocation t(2;5)(p23;q35) leading to the ectopic expression of NPM-ALK,
