Rhizoctonia Species and Anastomosis Groups from Corn Kernels in Turkey
In 1996, 165 samples of corn (Zea mays L.) kernels to be tested for seed-borne fungi were obtained from five provinces throughout the major corn-producing areas in the eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey: Artvin (41 samples), Rize (28 samples), Trabzon (32 samples), Giresun (30 samples), and Ordu (34 samples).

Two-stage turnbull-cutait pull-through coloanal anastomosis for low rectal cancer: a randomized clinical trial [PDF]
Importance: two-stage Turnbull-Cutait pull-through hand-sewn coloanal anastomosis seems to provide benefits in terms of postoperative morbidity compared with standard hand-sewn coloanal anastomosis associated with diverting ileostomy and further ...

Differentiation of Three Homogeneous Groups of Rhizoctonia solani Anastomosis Group 4 by Analysis of Fatty Acids [PDF]
Profiles of fatty acids from 70 isolates of Rhizoctonia solani anastomosis group (AG)-4 clustered into three groups, corresponding to homogeneous group (HG)-I, HG-II, and a newly described HG-III. Isolates from Georgia peanuts exhibiting limb rot were characterized as gas chromatography (GC) subgroup 1 (GC-1) and contained HG-I isolates. Isolates from

Intraluminal application of vascular endothelial growth factor enhances healing of microvascular anastomosis in a rat model [PDF]
Background: Early reconstitution after injury to the endothelium is an important feature for reducing a number of vessel wall pathologies. We investigated the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) and its impact on the vascular remodeling ...
