Aortic root remodeling after surgical repair of acute type A aortic dissection using different anastomosis techniquesCentral MessagePerspective

open access: yesJTCVS Techniques, 2023
Background: After surgical repair of acute type A aortic dissection (aTAAD), remodeling of the residual aortic segments is the key outcome parameter associated with late reoperation or aorta-related adverse events. In this study, we analyzed the surgical

Characterization of AG-13, a Newly Reported Anastomosis Group of Rhizoctonia solani [PDF]

open access: yesPhytopathology®, 2002
Rhizoctonia solani anastomosis group (AG)-13 was collected from diseased roots of field grown cotton plants in Georgia in the United States. Isolates of AG-13 did not anastomose with tester isolates of AG-1 through AG-12. Mycelium of all isolates of AG-13 were light brown but darkened as cultures aged. All isolates produced aerial mycelium. Concentric

Five‐Year Outcomes of Laparoscopic Sphincter‐Preserving Surgery for Rectal Cancer: A Prospective Study in Elderly Vietnamese Patients

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This prospective study demonstrates that laparoscopic sphincter‐preserving surgery is feasible for elderly patients. While overall survival reaches 70% at 5 years, advanced T‐stage and the omission of neoadjuvant therapy significantly drive recurrence, highlighting the need for personalized geriatric protocols despite logistical challenges.

High‐Resolution MRI Revealed Different Etiology‐Specific Associations With Cerebral Infarction in Adult Moyamoya Vasculopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective High‐resolution MRI enables detailed assessment of intracranial vessel wall pathology in moyamoya vasculopathy. We aimed to classify adult moyamoya vasculopathy etiologies using high‐resolution MRI and to examine subtype‐specific associations between high‐resolution MRI features and ischemic infarction.

Grouping of Rhizoctonia solani Kühn with Hyphal Anastomosis

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Phytopathology, 1972
Anastomosis phenomena among 234 isolates of Rhizoctonia solani (Thanatephorus cucumeris) indicated that 214 isolates fell into one of six groups (AG-1∼AG-6) and 20 isolates were not assigned any one of groups. In the course of hyphal contact there were three cases, a) hyphae of two isolates were attracted each other, b) hypha of one isolate was ...
