White Adipose Tissue Browning and Cross Talk With Metabolic Diseases and Tumors: From Molecular Mechanisms to Clinical Translation

open access: yesMed Research, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 280-308, June 2026.
White adipose tissue undergoes browning under endogenous and exogenous stimuli, primarily regulated by core molecules such as PRDM16 and UCP1. It exhibits a double‐edged sword effect in metabolic diseases and tumors: while mitigating metabolic disease impacts and suppressing early‐stage tumors through nutritional competition, it may accelerate cachexia

The Dual Role of Autophagy in Cancer: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Autophagy is a conserved cellular process degrading dysfunctional organelles and protein aggregates to maintain cell homeostasis, and it exhibits context‐dependent duality in cancer. Autophagy functions as a critical tumor‐suppressive mechanism by preventing DNA damage and mutation during tumor initiation.

Optimizing acupuncture dosing for hormone therapy‐induced hot flashes in cancer patients: A regression‐based analysis and narrative review

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, Volume 15, Issue 2, Page 135-146, June 2026.
Our analysis reveals a clear dose–response relationship between acupuncture sessions and the reduction of hormone therapy‐induced hot flashes. A threshold of approximately 10 sessions establishes a robust quantitative benchmark for achieving clinically meaningful neuro‐autonomic modulation and symptom relief.

The Prognostic Significance of Radiographic Progression Without PSA Progression in Patients With Metastatic Hormone‐Sensitive Prostate Cancer Treated With First‐Line ARPI Therapy

open access: yesThe Prostate, Volume 86, Issue 8, Page 882-890, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Radiographic progression (RP) without prostate‐specific antigen (PSA) elevation has emerged as a clinically important pattern in the androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPI) era, but its prevalence and prognostic significance in real‐world metastatic hormone‐sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) cohorts remain unclear.

Castration Resistance Accelerates Prostate Cancer Kinetics

open access: yesThe Prostate, Volume 86, Issue 9, Page 1021-1027, June 15, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Prostate cancer can be an indolent disease with which patients can live for many years. Thus, an understanding of how therapy and its ensuing resistance affect prostate cancer kinetics may guide efforts to determine optimal timing of therapy initiation.
