Androgen Deprivation Therapy Cardiotoxicity
2021The patient is a 63-year-old male, case of metastatic castrate-sensitive prostate cancer on goserelin injections every 3 month. Given his initial Gleason1 grade of 8, as well as doubling Prostate-specific antigen, (PSA) in 7 months since starting treatment, he was started on androgen receptor inhibitor, apalutamide.

Pitfalls of Androgen Deprivation Therapy
2012Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is a widely used method of treatment for men with prostate cancer. In men with metastatic disease, primary ADT improves quality of life and extends overall survival. ADT improves both progression free and overall survival in men with intermediate and high risk early stage disease.
