One‐year follow‐up after fractionated ultra‐high‐dose‐rate FLASH radiotherapy in patient with extramammary Paget disease of the scrotum

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
An elderly male patient with extramammary Paget disease of the scrotum and multiple metastases was treated with fractionated FLASH‐RT (40 Gy in 5 fractions) in the scrotal lesion. Abstract Objective Ultrahigh‐dose‐rate radiotherapy (FLASH‐RT) has been shown to reduce radiation‐induced normal tissue injury in preclinical studies.

The Prognostic Significance of Radiographic Progression Without PSA Progression in Patients With Metastatic Hormone‐Sensitive Prostate Cancer Treated With First‐Line ARPI Therapy

open access: yesThe Prostate, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Radiographic progression (RP) without prostate‐specific antigen (PSA) elevation has emerged as a clinically important pattern in the androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPI) era, but its prevalence and prognostic significance in real‐world metastatic hormone‐sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) cohorts remain unclear.

Impact of Intraprostatic Simultaneous Integrated Boost on Long‐Term Outcomes in Unfavorable Intermediate‐Risk Prostate Cancer Treated With Dose‐Escalated Radiotherapy and Short‐Term Androgen Deprivation Therapy

open access: yesThe Prostate, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Unfavorable intermediate‐risk prostate cancer (UIR‐PCa) represents a biologically heterogeneous subgroup with a higher risk of recurrence compared with favorable intermediate‐risk disease. Contemporary management frequently includes dose‐escalated radiotherapy (RT) combined with short‐term androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Whether

Castration Resistance Accelerates Prostate Cancer Kinetics

open access: yesThe Prostate, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Prostate cancer can be an indolent disease with which patients can live for many years. Thus, an understanding of how therapy and its ensuing resistance affect prostate cancer kinetics may guide efforts to determine optimal timing of therapy initiation.
