Vocal Fold Scar Treatment via Controlled Dexamethasone Delivery With a Light‐Activatable Implant

The Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
A light‐activatable dexamethasone implant was employed for the treatment of vocal fold (VF) scarring in a rabbit model. The implant enables controlled, repeatable drug release via near‐infrared laser irradiation, improving biomechanics, vibratory function, and histological architecture at the injury site.

Nebulized Lidocaine Through a Channeled Endoscope for Office Laryngology Procedures

Targeted delivery of nebulized lidocaine through a channeled endoscope may improve patient tolerance and reduce lidocaine dosage for office laryngology procedures. Most patients in this study preferred channel‐nebulized lidocaine over trans‐tracheal and laryngeal drip topical lidocaine.

Synchronous Regeneration: Key Mechanism for Selective Reinnervation in Bilateral Vocal Fold Paralysis

This study investigates the mechanisms behind the success of selective laryngeal reinnervation surgery in bilateral vocal fold paralysis. In an animal model, the surgery promoted neuromuscular regeneration and restored coordinated vocal fold movement, with no misdirected potentials observed.
