Spinal cord transection repair occurs when Nestin+ cells differentiate into neurons within a taxol‐collagen‐enhanced microenvironment in mice

open access: yesNeuroprotection, EarlyView.
We utilized Nestin‐CreER:tdTomato transgenic mice to directly illustrate that taxol could induce the differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs) into neurons. This process promoted the formation of a nerve bridge connecting the two ends of the injury, ultimately resulting in the functional improvement of spinal cord injury (SCI) animals.

Predicting Anxiety in Children Aged 2–6 During Preoperative Anesthesia Consultation—A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesPediatric Anesthesia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Preoperative Anxiety in Young Children Is Common and Can Lead to Adverse Outcomes. In Clinical Routine, Anesthesiologists Must Often Predict Anxiety Based on Limited Interaction. Aims This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of early anxiety predictions and to identify early predictors of heightened anxiety at anesthesia induction.

Glucocorticoid‐Induced TNFR‐Related Ligand as a Biomarker for Diagnosis and Severity of Asthma in Children

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
Our study demonstrates elevated GITRL expression in HDM‐exposed dendritic cells (in vitro), murine asthma models, and pediatric asthma patients, and reveals a direct association between GITRL levels and disease severity in children. ABSTRACT Currently, there are no reliable pediatric biomarkers for assessing the severity of asthma. Therefore, the study

Physiologically‐Based Pharmacokinetic Modeling to Support Pediatric Clinical Development: An IQ Working Group Perspective on the Current Status and Challenges

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric extrapolation strategies issued by health authorities have streamlined pediatric drug development and reduced the unnecessary burden of conducting pediatric clinical studies. In line with these strategies, physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models have been utilized extensively for initial dosing regimen and sampling ...

eVLP‐Mediated Cas9 Delivery for Preventing IBMIR in Islet Transplantation

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Engineered virus‐like particles (eVLPs) are used to deliver Cas9 nuclease to knock out tissue factor (TF) and plasminogen activator inhibitor‐1 (PAI‐1) genes in pancreatic islets. The edited islets maintained viability and function, while reducing instant blood‐mediated inflammatory reaction (IBMIR) markers and improving glycemic control in diabetic ...
