In silico ADMET and molecular docking study on searching potential inhibitors from limonoids and triterpenoids for COVID-19 [PDF]
Virtual screening of phytochemicals was performed through molecular docking, simulation, in silico ADMET and drug-likeness prediction to identify the potential hits that can inhibit the effects of SARS-CoV-2. Considering the published literature on medicinal importance, total 154 phytochemicals with analogous structure from limonoids and triterpenoids ...

High glucose‐ and acid‐responsive hydrogel with dynamic covalent bond solubilized with flavonoids (Gel‐Flavonoids) is designed for diabetic wound healing. The Gel‐Flavonoids adapt to irregular wound shapes and release antioxidants in high‐glucose environments, effectively reducing reactive oxygen species.

Mathematical model of SARS-Cov-2 propagation versus ACE2 fits COVID-19 lethality across age and sex and predicts that of SARS, supporting possible therapy [PDF]
The fatality rate of Covid-19 escalates with age and is larger in men than women. I show that these variations correlate strongly with the level of the viral receptor protein ACE2 in rat lungs, which is consistent with the still limited and apparently contradictory data on human ACE2.

In this work, a gas aggregation cluster source and an initiated chemical vapor deposition are combined in a single vacuum reactor. With this setup polymer thin films can be combined with functional nanoparticles. As a proof‐of‐concept PTFE is combined with silver nanoparticles and tested in antibacterial, antiviral, and anticancer applications ...

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), while holistic and historically esteemed, faces challenges in “miracle cures” due to slow onset, long cycles, and difficulty controlling quality. This study obtains the active ingredients, glabridin (GLA) and puerarin (PUE), from Ge‐Gen Decoction (GGD), developing a safe and effective drug delivery system, GLA‐PUE ...

Angiotensin Receptors and the Vagal System
Angiotensin II (Ang II) is known to attenuate the vagal component of the baroreflex at both central and peripheral cardiac sites. Ang II receptor binding sites occur in both the nucleus of the solitary tract (NTS), where they are associated with vagal afferent terminals, and in the dorsal motor nucleus of vagus.

HNF3α Targets Nckap1l and Promotes Renal Fibrosis Following Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury
Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 3 alpha (HNF3α) is significantly upregulated in renal tubular epithelial cells of CKD patients and fibrotic mice. Deletion of HNF3α mitigates IRI‐induced renal fibrosis, while overexpression worsens it. HNF3α directly regulates NCK‐associated protein 1‐like (Nckap1l), whose overexpression exacerbates fibrosis.

This study investigates the role of protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) in endothelial cells (ECs) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Mice with endothelial‐specific PRMT1 deletion develop pulmonary hemorrhage, inflammation, and apoptosis, driven by excessive nuclear factor kappa B activation.

Single‐Cell Atlas Reveals Tumorigenic Profiles and Immune Dynamics of Adrenal Incidentalomas
Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals cellular heterogeneity in adrenal incidentalomas, identifying distinct tumor cell populations. Clusterin is recognized as a biomarker for adrenocortical tumors, correlating with established markers. MYCN‐positive clusters in pheochromocytomas indicated poorer survival.
