Synchronous generator load angle estimation

Melecon 2010 - 2010 15th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2010
In the paper is proposed a load angle estimation method for synchronous generators. The estimation method is based on synchronous generator corresponding voltage-current vector diagram and parameters of generator, transformer and transmission lines. In addition measurement of the load angle is presented.

MagicGlove: Estimation for Flexion Angle of Fingers

2019 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence (SSCI), 2019
With the flourishing of wearable techniques, a future of interaction getting rid of bulky external equipment can be envisioned. This work explores the use of stretchable wearable sensors for sensing the flexion angle of fingers. Different from the traditional hand gesture interaction, the goal of this work is to achieve the fine-grained precise ...

Estimation of angles of arrivals of broadband signals

ICASSP '87. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
A high resolution one-step algorithm for estimating the angles of arrivals of multiple wideband sources is proposed. For a dense and equally spaced array structure, a bilinear transformation is utilized in frequency domain for coherent signal subspace processing.

Steering angle estimation for autonomous vehicle

2017 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2017
The modern era has witnessed huge spike in the number of road accidents and fatalities. The common origin of traffic accidents is driver error. This is not going to change anytime soon thanks to the immense number of cell-phone users, in-car entertainment audio and video systems, and finally abundant traffic. There's one death every four minutes due to

Angle-of-Arrival Estimation for UWB Signals Clustered in Angle

2006 1st International Symposium on Wireless Pervasive Computing, 2006
In this study, the new signal model suitable for ultrawide band (UWB) environments with random angle spread is proposed to estimate the angle-of-arrivals (AOAs) of clusters in a UWB indoor or indoor-to-outdoor wireless communication. The estimation technique based MUSIC algorithm is investigated and the estimates of the AOA and distribution parameter ...

Estimating Road Angles With the Knowledge of the Vehicle Yaw Angle

Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 2010
This paper presents a method of estimating road angles using state observers and three types of sensors (lateral acceleration sensors, longitudinal velocity sensors, and suspension displacement sensors). The proposed method differs from those in most existing literature in three aspects. First, a “full-state” vehicle model is used to describe nonlinear

Single-Pulse Simultaneous Target Detection and Angle Estimation in a Multichannel Phased Array Radar

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2020
This paper is focused on simultaneous target detection and angle estimation with a multichannel phased array radar. Resorting to a linearized expression for the array steering vector around the beam pointing direction, the problem is formulated as a ...

Sparse nested array with aperture extension for high accuracy angle estimation

Signal Processing, 2020
Sparse nested arrays (SNAs) are presented for highly accurate angle estimation. A nested array is sparse if its sensor-spacing of the first level is extended beyond a half-wavelength.

ESTIMATION OF VEHICLE ROLL ANGLE

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2005
Abstract Vehicle roll angle is one of the most important values for lateral vehicle dynamics. Electronic lateral dynamic control system operates only as desired during all driving maneuvers on all road surfaces, if the vehicle roll angle is known. Due to economical reasons, the vehicle roll angle is not measurable in series-produced vehicles.

An Algorithm for Estimating Contact Angles

Langmuir, 1995
Contact angles of a variety of polar and nonpolar liquids on polymer surfaces are correlated with surface tension and the interfacial free energy between the solid and the liquid. It is assumed that intimate molecular contact is made between the liquid and the polymer surface. The interfacial free energy is represented by the residual infinite dilution
