Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Contribution of Advanced Demand Side Management to Angular Stability of Interconnected Transmission Networks [PDF]
The implementation of Demand Side Management (DSM) in order to enhance power system operational flexibility has gained more and more attention during the past decade. However, DSM could endanger the system stability because it changes the characteristics

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Broadband Operation of Binary Metasurfaces: Limitations and Perspectives
In this paper, physical prerequisites of the broadband operation of reflective intelligent surfaces (RIS) implemented as periodically non-uniform metasurfaces (MSs) of binary type are elucidated. The general relation for the maximal operational band of a

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Angular acceleration compensation guidance law for passive homing missiles
Proportional navigation guidance law (PNG) is widely used for passive homing missiles. But PNG often suffers from inaccurate tracking of target or even failure when the target is maneuvering quickly or releasing artificial decoys.
