A combined micro-PET/CT scanner for small animal imaging

A micro-PET/CT system was developed by combination of an in-house micro-CT and a microPET® R4 scanner. The cone-beam micro-CT consists of a rotational gantry that fits an X-ray tube, a CCD-based X-ray detector, and motor-driven linear stages. The gantry was designed to be coaxial with the scanner of microPET® R4.

These were designed to be used in research laboratories and provide maximum modularity and flexibility. Evaluation of the first Silicon Photomultiplier matrices for a small animal PET scanner

"ANIPET" a versatile PET scanner for imaging small animals

The authors are presently constructing "ANIPET", a new high spatial resolution PET scanner for imaging small animals. This instrument will be used to investigate new tracers and as a substitute for autoradiography. The instrument uses two pixellated BGO crystal arrays coupled to position-sensitive PMTs. Animals can be imaged in two modes.

An MR compatible PET scanner for imaging small animals
