Increased Electrical Conductivity of PANi: Anionic Surfactant Addition during Emulsion Polymerization

Macromolecular Symposia, 2020
AbstractElectrically conductive polyaniline (PANi) doped with anionic surfactants is successfully synthesized and characterized. The conductive PANi is prepared by chemical oxidation polymerization reaction with the addition of two types of anionic surfactant solutions respectively 1% Sodium Octyl Sulfate (NaC8H17SO4, SOS) and Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate ...

Tetraalkylammonium salts as additives in anionic polymerization of methyl methacrylate

Macromolecular Symposia, 1996
AbstractThe anionic polymerization of methyl methacrylate was carried out in the presence of t‐BuOK/Quaternary ammonium salt (QAS) and α‐lithio‐ethylisobutyrate/QAS in toluene and THF. Seven QAS and one quaternary phosphonium salt of different size and shape were used as modifiers.

Additive effect of polyacrylamide on the anionic polymerization of acrolein

Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Chemistry Edition, 1983
AbstractThe anionic polymerizations of acrolein (AL) in the presence of polyacrylamide (poly‐AAm) induced by imidazole (Im), pyridine (Py)–water, and sodium hydorxide as the anionic initiator were carried out kinetically in an ethanol‐water mixture at 0°C.

Anionic ring‐opening polymerization of cyclodisilazanes, 2. Influence of additives on the kinetics of polymerization

Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, 1997
AbstractThe kinetics of the anionic ring‐opening polymerization of the DDNMe cyclodisilazane, initiated by benzyllithium, has been investigated in different experimental conditions. In non‐polar solvents, the active centers are aggregated ion pairs which are in equilibrium with a small amount of monomeric species.

Conjugate intra- and intermolecular addition mediated by methoxide anion on polymeric support

Tetrahedron Letters, 2000
Abstract By treatment with methoxide anion on polymeric support (IRA 900), chiral β-oxo or β-sulphonylamides 2 bearing an α,β-unsaturated ester gave 3,4-disubstituted pyrrolidin-2-ones 3 as easily separable diastereomeric mixtures in good yield and moderate-to-good stereoselection.

Anionic Hybrid Copolymerization via Concurrent Oxa‐Michael Addition and Ring‐Opening Polymerizations

Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, 2019
AbstractHere, a new type of anionic hybrid copolymerization is exploited via the concurrent oxa‐Michael addition of ethylene glycol and neopentyl glycol diacrylate and the ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone. The hybrid copolymerization process and the resulting copolymers are characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance, size exclusion ...

Coordination‐addition mechanism in the anionic polymerization of vinyl ketones initiated with alkylzinc

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1976
AbstractThe coordination‐addition mechanism in the polymerization of a vinyl ketone initiated with alkylzinc was elucidated by use of model compounds for the growing chain end and for the monomer. The formation of a 1:1 complex between the zinc compound and the vinyl ketone in hydrocarbon solvents was concluded from the UV spectra of the binary system.

Effects of polar additives on the anionic polymerization of 1,3-butadiene and styrene

Journal of Polymer Research, 2015
The homopolymerization of butadiene and copolymerization of styrene with butadiene were performed using n-butyllithium as the initiator, cyclohexane as a solvent and some new ethers (σ-ligands) as active centers modifiers. The modifiers were synthesized using an elegant synthetic route starting from a commercial precursor, and high yields were obtained.
