Spreading of the Amur River Water in the Eastern Aniva Bay in Late Autumn

Meteorologiya i Gidrologiya, 2021
As a result of an analysis of the long-term average salinity distributions at four standard sections of the Aniva Bay, it was shown that in the late autumn (November-December) there was an inflow of modified Amur low-salinity water along its eastern shore.

Studying the Ecosystem Functioning Conditions in Aniva Bay–La Perouse Strait

Water Resources, 2003
An atlas of oceanographic data on the shelf zone of Sakhalin Island and a mathematical model describing the transformations of nutrient compounds (N, P, Si, C) are used to study the biotransformation and transport of organic and mineral components of these elements in the La Perouse Strait.

The Distribution of Chlorophyll a in the Bottom Sediments of Aniva Bay (Sea of Okhotsk)

Russian Journal of Marine Biology, 2019
This paper reports the first data on the content of plant pigments in the upper bottom sediment layer of Aniva Bay (Sea of Okhotsk) located in the temperate-monsoon climatic zone. A positive relationship was found between the concentration of sedimentary chlorophyll a and its total content in the water column, which reflects a prevalent role of ...

Biotransformation of Organogenic Substances in the Aniva Bay Waters: Assessment with the Use of Mathematical Modeling

Water Resources, 2005
Mathematical modeling is used to study the conditions of natural biotransformation of biogenic element compounds (containing C, N, P, Si) in five areas within Aniva Bay. The input data for the model are evaluated with the use of GIS “Sakhalin Shelf” and the available reference literature on the bay oceanography.

Abundance and Distribution of Pelagic Larvae of Bivalves and Echinoderms in Busse Lagoon (Aniva Bay, Sakhalin Island)

Russian Journal of Marine Biology, 2003
The taxonomic composition and numbers of pelagic larvae of bivalves in Busse Lagoon and the contiguous areas of Aniva Bay (southern Sakhalin) were studied in 2000–2001. In comparison with 1973–1974, the total density of larvae increased 2–3 times, but their taxonomic composition changed and a redistribution of dominant species occurred.
