Combining DL-Methionine and Bacillus thuringiensis Subspecies israelensis: Prospects for a Mosquito Larvicide

open access: yesInsects, 2020
Mosquito larvicides can reduce mosquito populations at the source, potentially decreasing biting rates and pathogen transmission. However, there is a growing need for mosquito larvicides that are environmentally sustainable.

Morphine Antagonism

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1957
Abstract A series of compounds which antagonise the depressant activity of morphine in dogs is described. The most active compounds are the previously described 2:4-diamino-5-phenylthiazole and tetrahydro-5-aminoacridine. A mixture of both substances is more active than either alone.

Prey and predator density‐dependent interactions under different water volumes

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2021
Predation is a critical ecological process that directly and indirectly mediates population stabilities, as well as ecosystem structure and function. The strength of interactions between predators and prey may be mediated by multiple density dependences ...
