Anti-CCP: Challenges in quantifying auto-antibodies and creating international reference materials [PDF]

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 2010
Anti-CCP assays (antibody to cyclic citrullinated peptides) possess a high specificity for RA (rheumatoid arthritis). In lack of an international reference material the absolute values among different assays strongly diversify. The cut-off showed a variance from 5 U/mL Euroimmun anti-CCP to 25 U/mL Euro-Diagnostica Immunosan RA.

Association Between Chikungunya Infection and Rheumatoid Arthritis in Taiwan—A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Rheumatic Diseases, Volume 29, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infection might cause chronic chikungunya arthritis resembling rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential role of this virus in the pathogenesis of RA in Taiwan, a non‐endemic area. Methods This cross‐sectional study enrolled 98 RA patients and 200 healthy controls.

Evidence of fibrinogen as a target of citrullination in IgM rheumatoid factor-positive polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis

open access: yesPediatric Rheumatology Online Journal, 2011
Background Several studies have noted the significance of measuring anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antibodies in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) as an important indicator for destructive disease, as is the case in rheumatoid arthritis (RA ...

The ITGAV-rs3911238 Polymorphism Is Associated with Disease Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesIranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, 2014
Evidences indicate that angiogenesis  is an important process in the development of destructive synovial tissue in rheumatoid  arthritis (RA). Recently, it has been shown that the polymorphism of the integrin-αv subunit encoded by the ITGAV gene plays a ...
