Virtual coupling of permanent magnetic maglev trains: An improved cooperative tracking and collision avoidance control protocol

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, 2023
In the cooperative tracking task of multiple permanent magnetic maglev trains, system uncertainty, external disturbances, and collision avoidance control are issues that must be considered.

Rethinking Extracellular Vesicle Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicles enable cell communication beyond intracellular cargo delivery. This perspective highlights two plausible surface‐based signaling modes: “bind‐and‐stay” and “bind‐and‐leave.” Transient binding to multiple cells challenges the one‐vesicle‐one‐cell model.

Time-dependent mode structure for Lyapunov vectors as a collective movement in quasi-one-dimensional systems

open access: yes, 2004
Time dependent mode structure for the Lyapunov vectors associated with the stepwise structure of the Lyapunov spectra and its relation to the momentum auto-correlation function are discussed in quasi-one-dimensional many-hard-disk systems. We demonstrate

Efficacy and Safety Assessment of 5‐Fluorouracil, Irinotecan and Oxaliplatin‐Loaded Implants in Mouse and Pig Models for Pancreatic Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel FIRINOX‐loaded implant demonstrates controlled drug release, and potent therapeutic efficacy in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma mouse models with safety confirmed in a large‐animal pre‐clinical model. This innovative drug delivery platform offers a promising new treatment approach for non‐resectable, treatment‐resistant pancreatic cancer ...

Charged jet spectra in proton-proton collisions with the ALICE experiment at the LHC

open access: yes, 2013
Jets are collimated sprays of particles resulting from fragmentation of hard scattered partons. They are measured in different types of collisions at different energies to test perturbative Quantum Chromodynamic calculations and are used to study the ...

Charge Transfer States in Donor–Acceptor Bulk‐Heterojunctions as Triplet–Triplet Annihilation Sensitizer for Solid‐State Photon Upconversion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A near‐infrared photosensitizer that facilitates efficient solid‐state photon upconversion by recycling triplets formed within a fullerene‐based donor–acceptor bulk‐heterojunction system is demonstrated. Spectroscopic investigations reveal that the energy of photogenerated charge transfer states of triplet character (3CT) is subsequently transferred to

The concept of anti-collision system of autonomous surface vehicle

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
The use of unmanned vehicles in various fields of science and the economy is becoming more common. An extremely important aspect of creating this type of solution is to provide autonomous vehicle navigation, which does not require interference of the ...

Gut Microbiota‐Derived Anandamide Mediates the Therapeutic Effects of Urolithin A on Alcohol‐Induced Cognitive and Social Dysfunction via CB1R‐DRD2‐RAP1 Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

Bit arbitration query tree anti-collision algorithm based on grouping mechanism

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2016
A bit arbitration query tree anti-collision algorithm based on grouping mechanism was proposed. GBAQT divided tags into two groups according to the tag ID's feature and used three arbitration bits to identify tags instead of using one bit in traditional ...

Postoperative Stress Accelerates Atherosclerosis Through Inflammatory Remodeling of the HDL Proteome and Impaired Reverse Cholesterol Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study shows that noncardiac surgical inflammation rapidly disrupts HDL function and cholesterol efflux in mice and human patients. Impaired reverse cholesterol transport after surgery drives rapid lipid accumulation, NETosis, and apoptosis within atherosclerotic plaques.
