Efficient Synthesis of Cannabinoid Acids

In this study, an alternative synthesis of cannabinoid acids was developed based on an O→C acyl rearrangement. Specifically, this strategy involved regioselective bromination followed by halogen–lithium exchange and intramolecular nucleophilic addition, which led to successful carboxylation.
