Pulmonary-Renal Syndrome with a Focus on Anti-GBM Disease
Seminars in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 2011Pulmonary-renal syndrome is a potentially life-threatening combination of pulmonary hemorrhage and acute renal failure. Several pathological entities can cause this syndrome. This review discusses the diagnostic strategy required to initiate appropriate therapy.

Patients with both anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease and Castleman disease have been rarely reported. In this study, we report 3 patients with this combination. They had immunologic features similar to patients with classic anti-GBM disease. Sera from the 3 patients recognized the noncollagenous (NC) domain of the α3 chain of type IV

Plasma Exchange in Anti-GBM Disease
1981The last two decades have witnessed a striking increase in knowledge of immunological mechanisms responsible for allergic glomerular injury. One particular type has received much attention — that in which disease is caused by the development of auto-antibodies to glomerular basement membrane (GBM).

Glomerular Basement Membrane and Anti-GBM Antibody Disease
Nephron, 2008The GBM is an important structure for the development of immunologic renal disease. It may serve as the primary antigen or as the site of deposition of immune complexes. The GBM is recognized as the major protein filtration barrier of the glomerulus.

Rituximab in anti-GBM disease: A retrospective study of 8 patients
Journal of Autoimmunity, 2015Anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) disease is a rare autoantibody-mediated disorder presenting as rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, and often with pulmonary hemorrhage. Antibody removal with plasmapheresis and immunosuppressive drugs are the cornerstones of the treatment.

Anti-GBM disease and renal vein thrombosis.
BMJ case reports, 2013A 23-year-old female who presented with advanced renal failure was subsequently diagnosed with renal vein thrombosis and antiglomerular basement membrane (GBM) antibody disease. A previous case of renal vein thrombosis has been reported in association with anti-GBM disease, but to our knowledge, this is the first reported case in which the presentation
