Half life of transfused anti-HBs.

Developments in biological standardization, 1976
During a prospective study in post transfusion hepatitis 222 blood units were given to 55 patients who underwent open heart surgery. Eleven of these blood units contained anti-HBs titered higher than 1:128 by passive hemagglutination and were given to 10 patients previously negative for anti-HBs.

[Practical use of anti-HB immunoglobulins].

Przeglad lekarski, 2001
Viral hepatitis B remains a significant problem among iatrogenic infections. The development of transplantology met a barrier in the form of active hepatitis B. Wide but still inadequate prophylaxis against viral hepatitis B and the necessity of protection of patients after organ transplantation against secondary HBV infection require establishing ...

Evaluation of Different Calculation Methods for Anti-HBs Titration

Zentralblatt für Bakteriologie, 1989
Anti-HBs titre calculations should be standardized to make comparison between various vaccination programmes and between immunogenicity tests in animals more meaningful. For this purpose, we compared four methods of titre calculation in human and animal sera and in the IgM and IgG fractions of these sera.

Epidemiological distribution and significance of anti-HBs.

Developments in biological standardization, 1975
HBsAg and anti-HBs neutralizing antibodies were quantitatively detected and typed by solid-phase RIA procedures in various random populations and in commercial lots of standard immunoglobulins. The prevalence of anti-HBs was considerably higher than prevalence of HBsAg, and the specificities of HBsAg and anti-HBs overlapped within the single groups of ...

[Improvement of quantitative method on anti-HBs].

Zhonghua shi yan he lin chuang bing du xue za zhi = Zhonghua shiyan he linchuang bingduxue zazhi = Chinese journal of experimental and clinical virology, 2010
Through detecting the standard preparation with series of concentration to indirectly calculate the anti-HBs concentration of the serum samples, a suitable anti-HBs quantitative method for our laboratory was found after comparing the two kinds of methods.Detecting the anti-HBs standard preparation with series of concentration by RIA method, standard ...

Experiences with radioimmunoassay in the detection of HBsAg in the presence of anti‐HBs

Journal of Medical Virology, 1978
AbstractInterference from anti‐HBs present during hepatitis B antigenemia caused the appearance of several false negative reactions in a competition radioimmuno‐precipitation procedure. The results indicate that such interference is considerably less in the solid‐phase radioimmunoassay (Ausria II) and probably causes few false negative tests.

Affinity of anti‐HBs antibody after hepatitis B vaccination

European Journal of Clinical Investigation, 1992
Abstract. A novel method based on mathematical analysis of the dose‐response curve obtained by radioimmunoassay was used to determine anti‐HBs affinity and concentration in 29 healthy subjects vaccinated with plasma‐derived hepatitis B vaccine. Anti‐HBs affinity as well as its serum concentration increased with time in most vaccine recipients; however,

Prevalence of HBsAg and anti HBs in hospital personnel.

Journal of hygiene, epidemiology, microbiology, and immunology, 1979
Of the 473 employees of a Prague hospital, examined for the presence of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and the antibody to it (anti HBs), 23 (4.9%) were shown to have the antigen and 88 (18.6%) to have the antibody. No differences were found in the prevalence of HBsAg and anti HB according to sex and age, but the percentage of persons with ...

Distribution of anti HBs in Christchurch hospital staff.

The New Zealand medical journal, 1978
Three hundred and thirty-eight North Canterbury Hospital Board staff in 11 different job categories have been tested for anti HBs during a two-year period, June 1975 to June 1977. Forty-three sera were positive for anti HBs, 10 following documented hepatitis B, nine following prophylactic anti HBs and 23 without any previous history of hepatitis.
