Mechanistic Evaluation of Luteolin in Wound Healing of Diabetic Foot Ulcer via Nrf2 Signaling

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Proposed mechanism by which Luteolin (LU) promotes diabetic foot ulcer healing. LU attenuates hyperglycemia‐induced oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, improves endothelial cell viability, and suppresses ferroptosis through Nrf2‐dependent antioxidant signaling, thereby accelerating angiogenesis and wound repair. ABSTRACT Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs)

Goffman's Tempting the Devil in Stigma: A Close Rereading of Goffman's “Subversive” Construct of “the Normals” Versus “the Stigmatized”

open access: yesSymbolic Interaction, EarlyView.
This article engages in a close rereading of Stigma, relating it to Goffman's biography as a person who faced stigma. Exploring his biography helps us to recognize the ways Goffman applies stigma strategies in how he represents himself as the author in Stigma.

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.
