Immunomodulatory and Anti-Inflammatory Activities of Statins
Endocrine, Metabolic & Immune Disorders - Drug Targets, 2009The statins are a group of inhibitors of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase that are used extensively in medical practice because of their ability to reduce cardiovascular mortality and stroke. Although this protective activity was initially ascribed to the inhibition of cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver, clinical trials and basic ...

Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Gallic Acid
Planta Medica, 1992Gallic acid was found to possess antiinflammatory activity towards zymosan-induced acute food pad swelling in mice. In vitro studies on the mode of action of gallic acid revealed that this compound interferes with the functioning of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs).

A Reappraisal of the Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Copper
International Archives of Allergy and Applied Immunology, 2009The copper complex of histidine reduced the dextran and carrageenan reactions in rats, inhibited the erythema produced in the skin by exposure to ultraviolet light, and decreased the severity of established arthritis. However, it was particularly effective only when given systematically, and irritancy was not a factor involved.

Anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activity of arbortristoside-A
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2008Nyctanthes arbortristis Linn is a well-documented plant. It is evident from literature and previous investigations that Nyctanthes arbortristis possesses anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. In the present study arbortristoside-A has been isolated from the ethanolic extract of its seeds.

Inflammation is the body’s first response to infection or injury and is critical for both innate and adaptive immunity. It can be considered as part of the complex biological response of vascular tissues to harmful stimuli such as pathogens, damaged cells, or irritants.

Anti-inflammatory activity of Commiphora molmol
Agents and Actions, 1986The petroleum ether extract of the oleo-gum resin of Commiphora molmol, at a dose of 500 mg/kg body weight, produced significant inhibition of carrageenan induced inflammation and cotton pellet granuloma. The extract also showed significant antipyretic activity in mice.

Anti-inflammatory Activity of IgG-Fc
2019Over 80 different autoimmune disorders have been identified. A common denominator across most of these disorders is the presence of pathogenic autoantibodies. The pathogenic and inflammatory nature of antibodies is well accepted, and over the last three decades, evidence in humans and rodent models has revealed that antibodies can induce anti ...

Anti-inflammatory activity of ginsenoside ro.
Planta medica, 1990Ginsenoside Ro, an oleanane-type saponin has been screened for activity in experimental models of inflammation. Ginsenoside Ro (10,50, and 200 mg/kg, P. O.) inhibited an increase in vascular permeability in mice induced by acetic acid and reduced an acute paw edema in rats induced by compound 48/80 or carrageenin.
