An Investigation of Anti-lock Braking System for Automobiles
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2012<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Nowadays, the anti-lock braking system, briefly ABS, is an important component in modern cars. Therefore, in this paper the one of the intelligent control theories “Fuzzy Logic Control” is suggested to create two different ABS controllers.

Genetic neural fuzzy control of anti-lock brake systems
Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001A typical anti-lock brake system (ABS) senses when the wheel lockup is to occur, releases the brakes momentarily, and then reapplies the brakes when the wheel spins up again. In this paper, a genetic neural fuzzy ABS controller is proposed that consists of a nonderivative neural optimizer and fuzzy logic components.

Noise attenuated anti-lock brake system
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1992A noise sensor for supplying a central processing unit of an anti-lock brake system with a noise signal corresponding to vibrations produced during braking. The central processing unit responds to the noise signal by supplying a control valve assembly with an operational signal which modulates the fluid pressure supplied to a wheel cylinder to create a

The impact of anti-lock braking system on braking distance of the vehicle
2016In present, various means that enable to avoid a crash are rapidly spreading in vehicles. One of such technologies is anti-lock braking system (ABS). In the present Paper, the importance of the anti-lock braking system and its impact on braking distance of a car on wet asphalt are being analysed.

Dynamics of braking vehicles: from Coulomb friction to anti-lock braking systems
European Journal of Physics, 2009The dynamics of braking of wheeled vehicles is studied using the Coulomb approximation for the friction between road and wheels. The dependence of the stopping distance on the mass of the vehicle, on the number of its wheels and on the intensity of the braking torque is established.
