A Perspective of Soy Isoflavones on Analytical, Biological, and Chemical Attributes

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This review covers key aspects of soybean (Glycine max), with a particular focus on its isoflavone content and biological properties. Soybeans maintain their position as both a nutraceutical and a pharmaceutical crop, with a broad range of dietary items used worldwide, including soy milk, fermented soy products, and various dietary supplements.

Chemical Optimization of Temporin A–L Peptides: From Native Isoforms to Enhanced Antimicrobial Analogs

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 15, 14 August 2026.
Temporins, among antimicrobial peptides, are short frog‐derived molecules with potent antibacterial activity. This review highlights chemical optimization strategies applied to temporins A–L, showing how sequence tuning modulates structure, stability, and selectivity, enabling improved activity against resistant pathogens.

Increased Risk of Environmental and Endemic Infectious Diseases in Sjögren's Disease: A Retrospective Analysis (2015–2023)

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
Objective Sjögren's disease (SjD) is a chronic autoimmune disease with a complex etiology, where pathogens may influence disease development or progression. Although SjD is not communicable, environmental and endemic pathogen exposures may influence its onset or progression.

Visible‐Light Photoredox Catalysis in the Intramolecular Dicarbonylation of Alkenes: Catalyst‐Dependent Divergent Syntheses of Both 1,4‐Dicarbonyls and α‐Hydroxy‐β,γ‐Unsaturated Lactams From 1,2‐Dicarbonyls

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 15, 1 August 2026.
Catalyst‐dependent divergent syntheses were developed. Intramolecular dicarbonylation of vinyl halides under metal‐free either thermal or visible light photocatalytic conditions were explored to produce a series of 1,4‐dicarbonyls with two different carbonyl moieties and a lactam ring.

Targeting Golgi–STING Signaling to Reprogram Innate and Adaptive Immunity for the Treatment of Implant‐Associated Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 43, 3 August 2026.
This study presents an ultrasound‐responsive nanoplatform, CS‐BT@MZ@NEs, with a BaTiO3/Mn‐Zif‐8 core and a chondroitin sulfate coating for Golgi targeting. By leveraging neutrophil hitchhiking, it enables targeted delivery to infection sites. Under ultrasound stimulation, CS‐BT@MZ@NEs generates ROS and modulates Golgi pH to activate cGAS–STING ...
